BUSINESS IMPACT HIGHLIGHTS

Developed the adidas Elite Team System athlete performance monitoring system with integrated garment sensors and live data display in stadiums and mobile phones - contributing to Germany's win at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil

Projects
adidas Elite Team System
The adidas Elite Team System is a monitoring system for top athletes and teams. It uses wearable fabric sensors for athlete comfort and real-time data accuracy. The system has set many industry milestones, including being used in the MLS All Star game in 2012 and showing live data on stadium screens and mobile phones in the Amsterdam arena. It was also the first system to use iPads to display functions and data and have sensors integrated into the players' undergarments. I was the project and product manager for the system, overseeing its development and marketing, and it was used by the German National team in their World Cup win in 2014.










adidas Interactive
I worked in adidas' Interactive Business Unit and was involved in various projects from start to finish, including ideation, prototyping, testing, and marketing strategies. Some of these projects included the adidas Speedcell, a wearable device placed inside footwear that measured speed, distance, and acceleration. I also worked on the adidas smart ball, which had sensors to measure the speed and spin of the ball and connect to a smartphone via Bluetooth to help footballers improve their striking. Lastly, I worked on the adidas smartrun GPS running watch.











adidas Football
I worked in Licensed Apparel for adidas Football, overseeing product marketing for global club and national teams' match wear, training wear, and lifestyle ranges. Additionally, I led all digital projects for the Business Unit, including conceiving and briefing the first NFC connected World Cup ball for 2018. I also led the creation of the adidas Football Creator Studio, a mobile web app that allowed fans to design the 3rd jersey of their club. This campaign had over 1.6 million unique visitors, 200k+ designs submitted, and 250k votes, making it adidas Football's most successful CRM sign-up campaign.
